DESCRIPTION:Séance du 19 octobre 2021  –  Fabien Carbo-Gil\, « L’hypothèse du continu »\nRésumé : L’hypothèse du continu est un problème mathématique auquel les mathématiciens ont accordé et continuent d’accorder une certaine importance. Toutefois\, du point de vue de ZFC\, l’axiomatisation devenue classique de la théorie des ensembles\, il a été prouvé par Gödel et Cohen que l’hypothèse du continu est indémontrable dans ZFC. Ceci fait de l’hypothèse du continu un problème coincé entre la philosophie des mathématiques et les mathématiques elles-mêmes. De Gödel aux théoriciens des ensembles contemporains\, comment les mathématiciens se positionnent-ils face au problème du continu ? Comment leurs opinions ou leur position philosophique impactent-ils leur manière d’aborder l’hypothèse du continu ? \nEn savoir plus sur les autres séances  \n \n
